Definition
- The appropriate product category
- The actual AC voltage that can be withstood when applied for one minute between the input and output terminals, or between the I/O terminals and the metal case (heat sink).
Solid-state Relays- The appropriate product category
- The maximum voltage at which insulation will not break down when a high voltage is applied for one minute to the same location as the one used to measure the insulation resistance.
- The appropriate product category
- The voltage that can be endured when an AC voltage is applied between discontinuous terminals, between each terminal and non-current-carrying metal parts, and between each terminal and ground. (The leakage current is specified separately.)

- The voltage that the insulation of an electrical device can withstand for a specific period of time.
