Definition

The appropriate product category Programmable Controllers: A function in OMRON PLCs for automatically converting FINS messages (i.e., commands) received on serial ports on the CPU Unit, Serial Communications Board, and Serial Communications Unit to the proper protocol for the message and then sending the data on a serial communications line. FINS commands can be converted to CompoWay/F, Host Link FINS, or Modbus protocol. The serial gateway is supported only for CS/CJ-series CPU Units with unit version 3.0 or lager and Serial Communications Units/Boards with unit version 1.2 or later.
