The appropriate product category
- A temperature sensor that uses a resistor elements whose electrical resistance changes according to the temperature. Platinum, nickel, copper, and other metals are used for the resistor elements. Platinum resistance thermometer are often used between -200 and 650°C. There are various connection methods. One method uses two wires. Another uses three wires in which one resistance element is connected to two wires and the other is connected to another wire to eliminate the influence of conductor resistance. There is also a method that uses four wires, with two wires connected to each end of the resistance elements.
