The appropriate product category
- It stands for Change of State. It is one of the connection types for I/O communications in standard DeviceNet communications. A COS connection enables data transmissions that are similar to cyclic connection in that data is transmitted when a set time elapses, when data changes, or when there is a request from an application. The specific conditions differ from a device to a device. In this connection, communications becomes more efficient because it is independent from master's communication cycle, but can is changeable due to data variation and requests from applications. COS connection cannot be used concurrently with cyclic connection.
