- 1) For an OMRON Axial Fan, the surface with the nameplate is the outlet and the reverse side is the inlet. The Fan can be installed in either direction for the inlet and output. If the inlet is installed to the outside, dust may enter the device. Take suitable precautions, such as installing a filter. 2) For a Box Fan, the inlet and outlet are specific to each model.
