First "Cash Recycling ATM" in Mongolia
Hitachi's Cash Recycling ATM in operation at Khan Bank, the largest bank in Mongolia
Tokyo, September 24, 2015 --- Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions, Corp. (Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions) today announced the largest commercial bank in Mongolia, Khan Bank LLC. (Khan Bank) installed Hitachi's Cash Recycling ATM, SR7500 and started its operation on September 13th, 2015. This marks Khan Bank is the first bank introduced cash recycling ATM in Mongolia.

Khan Bank is the largest commercial bank in Mongolia having largest number of ATMs. Currently, all ATMs Khan Bank operates are cash dispensing ATMs (CDs) except few cash deposit ATMs. Behind the economic growth, the needs of cash deposit has been increasing in Mongolia. Khan Bank was evaluating solutions to relieve congestion in branches and to reduce TCO.
Norihiko Kato, CEO of Khan Bank said, "Khan Bank is operating largest number of ATMs (CDs) in Mongolia. However, customer demand of deposit transaction that current ATMs cannot support is getting huge. Furthermore, Mongol's severe nature environment and banknote condition were challenges to introduce ATMs having both dispense and deposit function for a long time. This time, Khan Bank has achieved to launch cash recycle ATMs through Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions teams effort. Khan Bank expects cash recycling ATMs will leverage to improve customer service and efficiency of cash management."
