Definition

The appropriate product category Temperature Controllers: The band in which the manipulated variable is proportional to the deviation between the process value and the set value. The proportional band is given in industrial units or as a percentage of the input range. If the proportional band is increased, the change in the manipulated variable will be smaller for a change in the deviation. If the proportional band is decreased, the change in the manipulated variable will be larger.
