Detects Degradation of UV Lamps Used for UV Adhesion and Hardening at the Dicing Stage

Case Number 246

last update: November 4, 2009

This application uses a UV power monitor that allows you to monitor the amount of light from a UV lamp.
This Sensor detects the degradation and output of UV lamps used for chip UV adhesion at the dicing stage. It keeps the amount of light of UV lamps constant to enable quality control of hardening conditions.

Know-How

A UV lamp was usually replaced after a specified time or when it burned out. This created waste from the viewpoint of the environment or costs if you replaced it before reaching the life. It could also result in damage to previously processed products if you replace the UV lamp after it burned out.

Benefit / Efficiency

This application monitors the amount of light of a UV lamp to enable constant irradiation. Thus, it ensures stable production quality and prevents wasteful replacement of lamps to optimize maintenance costs.
